This privacy policy describes what personal information we collect and how we use it.

Log files

All major web servers collect basic traffic data about visitors and store the data in log files. As most other websites, we use the data contained in these log files. This information is NOT used to personally identify you, we ONLY use it for statistical purposes so we can improve the site (e.g. it helps us see what tutorials and tutorial categories are most popular so we know what people want) The information in log files includes such things as your IP address, your host, your browser, the referer site, various time data (time of visit and duration). Note that we do NOT use this data to identify you personally in any way, your anonymity is kept intact.

Cookies and Web Beacons

We do use cookies to store information in order make the site more convenient for you. A good example would be when you comment on a post you have to type in a name and e-mail, we use a cookie so that the next time you want to comment on a post those fields are already filled out for you.

Third party advertisers on our site may use cookies, web beacons or other technologies when they advertise on our site for various purposes, such as customizing the ads for the visitor. (e.g. showing ads from England if you’re from England). Some advertising companies may collect non-personally identifiable information in order to display ads more relevant to the user’s interest.

Turn off cookies

It is possible to disable cookies if you want to, all major browsers support this.
This is normally found somewhere in your browser’s settings. (in a lot of browsers this can be found under Tools->Settings/Preferences).
Note that disabling cookies will also disable functionality that is dependant on cookies.
